Soda company starts rumor of unearthed Easter egg in a Super Mario Bros. title

I have never heard of Faygo Beverages. I've gone from not knowing a thing about them, to being completely obsessed in a matter of 10 minutes.

Faygo posted the above image on their Instagram account, and as you can see, they start the rumor of an Easter egg related to their company in a Mario game. Now this could be nothing more than a case of good social media, but then again, it could be legit. The debate is raging on right now, and I'm not sure which side of the fence I'm on, but I certainly want to believe!

Now the other question is, what game would the Easter egg be in? The best guess out there is Super Mario All-Stars, as this Faygo campaign kicked off in 1993, which is the same year Super Mario All-Stars released. That means there would be four different games to pour through to find a secret!

Hopefully Faygo comes forward and says whether or not they were joking. Until then, let the hunt begin!

Faygo is predominantly a Michigan thing, but I know some other states get it too. I actually remember those Mario sodas from when I was little

We had Faygo up here in Ontario...remember seeing bottles of the drinks in some corner stores. I recall them being 3L bottles too. Used to get the cola one

They sell Faygo at some stores in the south, too.

Isn't that drink associated with juggalos

That's the only reason why I know Faygo is a soda, I've never actually drank it before
