More speculation on a Nintendo Direct in January

There have been rumors of a Nintendo Direct in January for quite some time now. The biggest bit of evidence came from a document from EA, which pointed to Fe being part of a Nintendo Direct presentation. While we haven't had anything officially confirmed since then, we did get a new tidbit today.

A member of the Resetera forum, who is apparently in the know on these situations, claims that we'll be checking out a Nintendo Direct on Jan. 11th. According to the forum-poster, plans were to run the Direct on Jan. 11th, and so far there haven't been any changes to the plan. If there is indeed a Direct, I guess we'll be finding out about it soon!

GAF is dead, but ResetEra is stillborn. Same crap, new name.

I'm excited to find out all the details about Switch Game 28.

Is that sort of a meme or is there a real story behind that placeholder?

Amazon (temporarily) put up placeholders for a number of unnamed games yesterday. It added to speculation about an upcoming Direct, which is clearly gaining momentum.

I know. I was just wondering if there was something special about the one placeholder you mentioned.

It's been a cheeky pseudo-meme from what I gathered where one chooses a numbered title and claims it's the best one.

That Bill Trinen donut skit is one of their better ones.

Virtual console please

ResetEra isn't a video game forum so I see no reason to take anything they say as the truth. No sane member of the gaming industry would want to interact with that site.

Gaf is dead. Long live ResetEra.

Yeah Gaf is dead, and in it's place is ResetEra, which is all the stupid of Gaf but in a new name.

The only difference is there's 25% less sexual predators, but even then some might argue that might not be the case.
Ultimately GAF/Era/Whatever is still the same blight to the gaming community and the industry as a whole as it's always been.

Why can't that Direct be tomorrow! This anticipation and suspense is killing me! I NEED MOAR GAMES!!!

Dude I cannot even keep up with the ones we got!

Me neither I just like building collections! :p

Aye, been scouring the web for a good place for a collection checklist. It's been infectious.

I've never been this addicted to buying games like I have with Switch. It's crazy! My collection so far consists of:

- Super Mario Odyssey
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
- Pokken Tournament DX
- Fire Emblem Warriors
- Splatoon 2
- ARMS
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
- FAST RMX
- Super Bomberman R
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Doom
- Yooka-Laylee
- Rocket League
- Sonic Mania
- Sonic Forces
- Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition
- Resident Evil Revelations
- Resident Evil Revelations 2
- LA Noire
- Batman: The Telltale Series
- NBA Playgrounds

So 23 games in total so far. I'm getting LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 and Puyo Puyo Tetris on friday when I get paid. The only 3 major AAA games that have released so far that I don't own are Xenoblade 2, NBA 2K18, and Street Fighter 2 but I'm not a fighter, JRPG, or realistic sports fan.

It'll probably be easier to just post a link on mine.

Essentially any "faded" out ones I do not own. And this is all just physical carts essentially. Digital I am a bit more picky (which I voiced why on many occasions, but I do own a few on Switch, Dig 2 and Snake Pass being two major ones).

Mind you, I have been putting aside money for this console since midway in Wii U's lifespan, so much of it is from that and various "rewards" in forms of gift cards and whatnot from such things as certain shopping apps.

Incredible collection man! I'm all digital as I love the convenience of it and the fact the Switch is portable I like to have all my games on me at all times. I plan on picking up Wolfenstein 2, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus, Outlast 1 +2, Kirby Star Allies, Yoshi, and Bayonetta 1 + 2 next year for sure. Can't wait to see what surprises the January Direct has in store.

I understand the digital perspective for something portable. Though my college experience when a personal favorite music artist split and took down their music. Only to find out myself afterwards when deleting for a final.

It's essentially an investment of future enjoyment.

Honestly, I think everyone and their mother is expecting a January Direct at this point.

Common guesses are in the middle of January, in the middle of the weeks. So somewhere between Jan. 9-11 or 16-18.

LOL all that gif needs is the “Porn Hub” logo.
