Check out more here

A new, ultimate version of the exhilarating action game set in the Zelda universe will include every map and mission, plus all 29 playable characters from both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game, along with all of the previous paid downloadable content. Play as Link, Zelda, Midna, Skull Kid and dozens more in action-packed battles at home or on the go. Additionally, the game includes new outfits for Link and Zelda based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game. This new version launches for Nintendo Switch in spring.

I skipped this on Wii U and 3DS but might pick this up on Switch since it will contain all content.

I wish I could be more excited about this. More new content other than a couple of BOTW outfits would be nice.

It's a GOTYE except on another console so you can enjoy it all the way from the beginning again. I mean, it's been almost 3.5 years since the original pathetically short release. Surely that's plenty of time for Real Fans to have forgotten everything and look at it with fresh eyes.

I can experience Hyrule Warriors again without spending $60 on a port.

I received a message that said Nintendo would prefer that you didn't do that.

If Nintendo doesn’t like it then they can tell me themselves.

They would but they're too busy counting their stacks of money.

I seriously hope this game comes with all the characters already unlocked from the start...

But that why Adventure Maps where so exciting to do

Yes but as someone who owned the original I don't want to have to do all of that again. Just give me all the characters from the start. It's like if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Pokken Tournament DX came out and they made you re-get all the unlockables again. Difference between those two were it was easier to unlock everybody where as Hyrule Warriors requires heavy amounts of grinding.

I agree that multiplayer games is better if you can choose every characters from the start, but who would then play the singleplayer of MK8DX or PTDX IF it doesn’t unlock anything?
Then you also get the problem that people will not try out all the characters on the roster for differents reason.

Using characters to get other characters I just see as a good way to trying out all the characters to see which one you may like the most.
IMO so did HW not have too much grinding to get the characters and the fact that they only gave you the New+DLC characters from HWL for HW but without the Maps with mission for them, then what is the FREAKING POINT to have them, for a game that doesn’t have a vs-mode? Just grinding them up at mission you have already done with highlevel characters with none New rewards?

I I hope they fixed the issues I had with the giant bosses in this game. In the wiiU version you could run out of time thanks to a giant boss never exposing their weak point (it was all RNG from what I understand). The 3ds version remedied this by letting you team up with other heroes to give you attack bonuses, but sometimes it wasn't always ideal as your teammate could just keep interrupting the enemies attacks.

Can anyone tell if this game has HD rumble? I saw a piece in the article that mentioned the joy-cons, but I can't read it.

I don't know for the others, but the King Dodongo had specific attacks determined by your relative position to it (with like two possibilities by "zones"). I never got time out... with it at least. I... don't remember the others enough? I think Manhandla had 3/4 of its attacks revealing its weak point... Gohma was the same thing as Dodongo, until it got on the ceiling. Damn I hated it. I think the one I had most troubles getting its weak point was the Argorok.

Oh well... But I really doubt they'll change this. At least, you'll be happy that they are keeping the switch/order/team up systems of the 3DS (and the fairies! YEAH!)

Now that it's going to be a Definitive version of this game it would be great to have the DLC of the WiiU version as a prize on MyNintendo like Mario Kart 8.

Wait... I hadn't seen the 3D Fairies... Ugh... I vastly prefer the 2D ones. Sad
