My idea for the next European Splatfest:

"Gherkins are delicious vs. gherkins are disgusting" is the stupidest possible Splatfest vs. "Gherkins are delicious vs. gherkins are disgusting" is not the stupidest possible Splatfest.

Pickles? On burgers?! What kind of wierdo would say no to that?!

Cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles and lettuce... that's what you need for a perfect burger! ...although pulled pork, fried egg, pickles and bbq sauce is a pretty awesome combo too...

I wish I could upvote this comment twice.

I'm not joking about those combinations either... they're delicious...

Hells yeah, I love pickles on burgers.

Wow Europe has really been getting the short straw when it comes to splatfests lately, I didn't think it could get worse than toilet paper...

Team gherkin all the way though!

No way this is worse than the toilet paper one... I mean, who really cares what direction the toilet roll goes?

Can someone explain to me (not an English speaker) the difference between gherkins, pickles and cucumbers? In German it's all just "Gurken".

A gherkin refers to the small green vegetable (or fruit? not sure), often pickled (which means it's left in a vinegar-y solution). A pickle is a pickled gherkin. And a cucumber is a different thing entirely: It's more watery and a lot bigger and longer

A cucumber is a vegetable...

A pickle is any sort of fruit or vegetable that has been pickled; preserved in some form of pickling agent. In the US and Canada however, a pickle refers specifically to pickled cucumbers of any size.

Gherkin is a European term, and refers specifically to a small pickled cucumber.

Gherkins are lovely, especially burgers.

Team Gherkin for the win and Beefsquatch.

Alive Pickle Rick vs Dead Pickle Rick. You know what is the right choice.

No sane human has that stuff on a burger, and I will severely judge anyone who says they does!

This sounds like a go nintendo questionem.

And I love Gherkins.
