GN Version 5.0

You’ve asked, you’ve patiently waited… and today is the day we begin rolling out 60fps (frames per second) support on Live TV. This was one of the most-requested features by our viewers - including all of you on r/hulu - so I wanted to give you a status update!

Due to the dependencies required to enable 60fps, we’ll be rolling it out in phases to get you these higher-quality streams as quickly as possible. By offering our live streams at this frame rate, our goal is to provide a significantly more immersive viewing experience for Live TV. You’ll notice the difference most when watching sports or news, so we’re excited to have this in time for the 2018 Winter Olympics and March Madness (NBC and Turner channels, respectively).

Today marks the beginning of Phase 1, and you will now be able to see the following in 60fps:

CNN
CNN International
HLN
TNT
TBS
TCM
TruTV
Cartoon Network
Adult Swim
All SHOWTIME channels
About half of our available FOX affiliates
All of our available NBC affiliates, as well as New England Channel News

*Please note that individual FOX/NBC affiliates may temporarily revert back to a 30fps version in order to bring you the most stable playback stream.

The following devices are also enabled as part of Phase 1:

iPhone/iPad
Apple TV
Xbox One
Fire TV
Samsung Tizen TV
Nintendo Switch
