“Resolve System”

- pushes each officer to act in a specific way
- Takeda Shingen is driven by the “Law of Kai” which is based on the idea that everyone should always be treated equally
- achieving an officer’s resolve will unlock bonuses like increased gold or damage in battle

Council system

- has been improved to allow each attending officer to approve new policies
- this is also influenced by the resolve system

Battles

- split in two alternating phases
- planning phase pauses the game so that players can make their choices and plan their strategies
- execution phase unfolds in real time
- features various strategies that can be used
- “the Woodpecker” strat deals heavy damage but takes five whole turns for its effect to materialize

Civic Development Systems

- let players develop their domains by using facilities, farming, irrigation, and more
- exploit trade routes to improve production rates and resources
