Nikkei reports that Nintendo's "quality of life" project is dead

We haven't really heard anything meaningful about Nintendo's quality of life project in quite some time now. It's been years since the initial announcement, and nothing of note has really come since. That's why it's not too surprising to hear that the project has been called off, at least according to a Nikkei report. Apparently the ending of the project happened somewhat recently, as Panasonic, a partner on the effort, parted ways with Nintendo.

This information has caused Nintendo's stock to drop 5% so far. Neither Nintendo nor Panasonic have publicly commented on the news.
