Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition available today for Switch

Global videogame publisher Rising Star Games, in partnership with Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, today releases Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition on Nintendo Switch™ and PlayStation®4 across Europe and beyond.

The arrival of the latest game in the much-loved series marks 20 years since the first Harvest Moon title was released in Europe, with Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition eagerly-awaited by the army of fans of the franchise around the world. The latest release in the franchise speaks to the series’ storied history with a brand new “retro plus” visual style that will bathe gamers in a fuzzy glow of nostalgia, while bringing the series’ gameplay mechanics absolutely up to date with streamlined controls, intuitive menuing and much more.

Appearing for the first time in a Harvest Moon game is two-player cooperative gameplay via Soleil, the gem sprite, who can be controlled by a secondary player for cooperative farming and adventuring. And more exciting still, a Season Pass is also available to players who wish to enhance their experience even further with each of the four planned DLC releases.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition is available now digitally via first-party stores, and also as a physical release at selected retailers across Europe and beyond. In addition, a limited run of a deluxe release, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Collector’s Edition is also available. The Collector’s Edition contains all of the exciting content of the Special Edition, but also includes the full Season Pass, a hot drinks mug, a tote bag and a selection of pin badges, all lavishly presented in a barn-shaped presentation case.
