Salt and Sanctuary is available on the Switch as of today. It's great to see this highly-acclaimed title make its way to Switch, but getting the game over was no easy task. In an interview with ComicsInkCorporated, Ska Studios reveals some of the struggles they faced.

Before Salt and Sanctuary, our previous games were published by Microsoft. We still own our games but they handled all the publishing aspects that most people don’t even think about. This included testing, localization and everything it takes to get the game on their digital storefront. We had not previously done any of this ourselves before so with our original release of S&S and with the Switch, we’ve had to learn everything it takes to publish a game. It proved to be a lot more work than expected. All these platforms have their own unique rules and processes that aren’t always obvious and it can be very difficult to even find out what is expected. We’re nothing if not tenacious though. It’s been a tough journey being self published but it has proven worth while.
