Latest update on Mighty No. 9 for 3DS doesn't paint a pretty picture

GN Version 5.0

A couple weeks back, we talked about the state of Mighty No. 9 on 3DS. As many expected, there really wasn't any progress to be discusses. The game is completely MIA, and for all we know, it might never see release. Any hope for release after that post is likely to fade today with a new update.

The gang at Dtoid got comment from both Engine Software and 8-4. It seems like both companies parted ways with Mighty No. 9 quite some time ago.

Engine Software

"we are no longer working on these ports so all future inquiries should be directed to Comcept."

8-4

"We were involved with Mighty No. 9 super early on in the project (the Kickstarter itself, plus some initial script work), but we haven’t really had anything to do with it since, sorry. So unfortunately we don't have any comment on the situation."

As you can see, that really does leave Comcept as the only point of contact for the port, and they certainly aren't talking. Are they going to put out a surprise release at some point, or just bury their head in the sand and pretend that people will forget?
