Diego Boneta joins Monster Hunter film, new plot details surface

The latest actor to join the cast of the upcoming Monster Hunter film is Diego Boneta, the man who portrayed Latin icon Luis Miguel in Netflix’s biography series. He joins in with the already-announced Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Ron Perlman and T.I. Harris.

This announcement of Boneta joining the cast also comes with a new look at the film's plot. It seems things have changed since the original announcement. The latest synopsis states that the movie centers on the leader of a UN military team named Artemis, played by Jovovich. She is somehow transported to another realm filled with monsters. This is where she meets the Hunter (Jaa), and the two team up to close a portal that would let the monsters pass through to Earth. Boneta will be playing a communications specialist on the Artemis team.
