Umihara Kawase Fresh! - new gameplay details from a hands-on session

Umihara Kawase Fresh! is making its way to Switch this year, and a new hands-on session has provided us with some more gameplay details.

- there are routes that more skilled players can take to get to places faster
- every time you reach a new checkpoint, the game overwrites your respawn point to that place
- features a story, checkpoints, quests, and an open world
- the lives counter has been taken away
- backpack items are still present in the game
- enemies other than fish appear
- previously completed quests can be played again in Time Attack mode
