Mortal Kombat 11 dev responds to complaints about missing fan favorite characters

Mortal Kombat 11's full roster hasn't been officially revealed yet, but based off of leaks, some fans are worried their favorite kombatants aren't going to make the cut this time. In a Reddit AMA, Mortal Kombat 11 Senior UI Artist Daanish Syed addressed a specific concern from a fan who felt that too many fan favorites would end up being paid DLC.

"Skarlet, Baraka, Kabal, Jade aren't fan favs, and there's more to come! As MK Reddit demonstrates, you cant please everybody. 30 yrs of history, no matter who we include, you can ALWAYS say "What about so-and-so". You may not like every choice, but overall I think you'll be happy."

Some people took offense to Syed's comments, seeing them as rude towards fans. Syed followed up with an apology/explanation.

"To be clear, my Reddit comment was not meant negatively, I was simply using it to illustrate that there are a wide variety of tastes out there, and everybody has their own wish-list. I did not mean to invalidate anybody's opinion!"
