If you collect Switch retail games and really value uniformity, you might want to hold off on grabbing a boxed copy of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition for the time being. As you can see above, there are some game boxes out in the wild that have a black spine instead of the standard Switch red. THQ Nordic has confirmed that this is a printing error, but haven't talked about replacement plans, nor do they know how many copies are impacted.
In fairness, I think the black spine suits Warmastered. Plus, it matches the Labo game boxes this way.
Yeah, I think it looks cooler this way. It makes it stand out. Remember when we had games with different color carts? I miss those days.
This could be valuable and a collector's item in years to come. If the same mistake is in the European version(I doubt it though), I might buy it, despite already owning it physically and digitally on Wii U.
