UK authorities warn the public of black market 'Donkey Kong' ecstasy after death of a 13-year-old boy

Don't do drugs...ever

Here's an absolutely horrible story for you. A group of people out there have taken to creating ecstasy that is shaped like Donkey Kong's head. Somehow, one of those pills made it into the hands of 13-year-old Carson Price, and he has since passed away. With police suspecting the ecstasy as the cause of the death, and also confirming another case where a man went to the hospital after taking one of the pills, they've released the following statement to the public.

“The community are telling us that they have growing concerns about this drug and we want to do all we can to make people aware of the dangers.

Our advice to all members of the public who may currently have this drug in their possession, is to not take it. If you have already taken Donkey Kong or any other illegal drug and feel unwell, please seek medical help immediately.

We want everyone to be aware of the devastating consequences that drugs can have and we’re especially asking all parents to speak to their children and to share our message.”

This kind of thing will happen more often as drugs become more socially acceptable, legal and available. It’s a shame.

What happened to our society that drugs are becoming "more socially acceptable"? I don’t get it.

Alcohol drinking and tobacco smoking are more than socially acceptable. It’s not a surprise that more and more is.

Both Alcohol and Tobacco are really disgusting. It’s so stupid to want to consume neurotoxins. I will never understand the self-destroy nature of humans.

When people started using medical weed for personal purposes (due to weed being more legal these days since it DOES have a bunch of helpful benefits, but it's not meant for you if you don't need them), I'd say that's when those types of drugs started to become hip and cool. The super deadly stuff seems to be a thing people know to stay away from (nobody, even those who think it's fun to smoke weed would take something like ecstasy on purpose unless they want to die) but I'd argue that weed is just as awful if you aren't using it properly, which is why I'm 100% abstained from any weed or pot despite how my friends do both those and vaping even when they don't have any medical purposes.

AKA: Side effect of the good benefits to medical weed making it more available along with generations that tend to mock the pretty strict teachings of D.A.R.E and other anti-drug programs back in the day. It's sad, honestly, since I see misuse of such being normalized to be just as bad as someone who gets hooked on Alcohol because everyone else does it and people think it's no big deal in moderation

So now a meme has turned into a health threat?

I’m not well informed on memes. Is there one about DK and drugs?

Neither am I, but "Expand your Dong" has been a thing for a while and that was the first thing that came to my behind this idea of "Donkey King ecstasy".

It's such a shame what money/greed makes people do. Take money out of the equation--the need of money to basically feed/cloth/shelter yourself in modern society and/or the power/position that is buys--and this kind of stuff almost certainly would not happen. The people selling these drugs for that money would find better ways to live and indeed enrich their lives. Now, some people would still take drugs for recreation, because smoking a little weed and the like can actually be a bit of fun, but at least you wouldn't have people creating and peddling unnatural garbage like this them en masse because the money incentive simply would not be there. Money has a lot to answer for in this world.
