Did you know that you can show mercy in Mortal Kombat 11? This isn't a new feature for the series, but it's not one that appears in every installment. If you want to show mercy, wait until you get the 'FINISH HIM/HER' message, and the hold ZL and hit down on the d-pad 3 times. That'll activate mercy, which gives your opponent some health back, and the fight can continue on.
