GN Version 5.0

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition was confirmed for Switch recently, and we learned that it would include all of the game's DLC. Turns out there's some more surprises in store for the Switch version, and it's all good news.

First up, some specifics were offered on the DLC side of things. The release on Switch will include both expansion packs and premium modules, including Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Undark and Kingmaker. On top of that, a Skybound rep shared more details on the multiplayer component, and mod support.

"Players will be able to play multiplayer with any module and we plan to offer access to most persistent world servers. Curated mods will be available to download and install as well. PCs will also be able to host Xbox, Switch, and mobile using DM tools."

Just to be clear on the mod side of things, it seems that Switch owners will be able to download curated mods, but won't have access to the tools to create their own mods.

Finally, while crossplay between PC and Switch players is included, only the PC side will have access to the Dungeon Master Client, which allows a single host to guide players through a module, control the world, and hop into NPCs.
