Luigi is once again taking on the lead role in a game with Luigi's Mansion 3. Usually it's Mario in the spotlight, but Luigi sneaks in there every now and again. In an interview with Polygon, Nintendo's Kensuke Tanabe why it's nice to see Luigi get his time to shine.

“Mario is a hero. He’s the star, and Luigi is the opposite. That’s part of his charm. But he does have courage and bravery and heroic moments as well. He feels like he needs to rescue everybody, but he’s so scared at the same time. But he’s an empathetic character that people can really appreciate.”
