Nintendo grabs three Animal Crossing trademarks in Japan
Prepare to launch
With Animal Crossing: New Horizons coming out in March 2020, Nintendo has to start getting trademarks in order. They're doing so in Japan, where they've filed three different trademarks for the series. The trademarks include Atsumare Doubutsu no Mori, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Animal Crossing in general. The first two trademarks apply to a 'downloadable video game program,' and 'planning and management of game competitions,' while the third trademark relates to merchandise.
