Dear Reader:
Tencent forms 'Nintendo Cooperation Department' in preparation for Switch's launch in China
It's still hard to believe, but after years and years of saying they wanted to break into China, Nintendo is finally making their move. The company teamed with Tencent to make things happen, and the first steps have been happening in recent weeks.
The latest turn events comes from Tencent, which has just recently started a 'Nintendo Cooperation Department.' Tencent wants to hire both a business analyst and web front-end developer for the new department. It's likely that other members of Tencent are also part of this department, but we don't have official word on what other positions there are.
There's still no release date for Switch in China, but steps like the one above show that the movement for a localized release is definitely underway.
