Dear Reader:
My Hero Academia creator shares Pokemon GO tribute art
さっき階段降りててすごく嬉しかった pic.twitter.com/GFNzmd9zo8

My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi has shared the above artwork, which shows Ashido Mina enjoying some Pokemon GO. How in the world did this tribute come up? Turns out it's actually tied to One Piece!
Kohei Horikoshi recently spoke to Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece. As you know, Pokemon GO had a 'straw hat' Pikachu event that was tied to One Piece, which was obviously part of the conversation between Horikoshi and Oda. This discussion lead to Horikoshi getting back into Pokemon GO, which he says has boosted his overall health, and made his aching knees feel better. It's this playing in real life that inspired Horikoshi to draw Mina enjoying the game as well.
