GN Version 5.0

Some time ago, we shared news of Blake J. Harris' best-selling novel Console Wars being turned into a TV project. It appears that plan is moving ahead, as CBS All Access is having the booked turned into a feature-length documentary, along with a television series.

The documentary will be directed by author Blake J. Harris and Jonah Tulis (Such Great Heights), and executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Following that, a limited drama series will air on CBS All Access, which will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) and written by Mike Rosolio (American Vandal).

For those who don't know, Console Wars is a book that chronicles the extremely heated battle between Nintendo and SEGA in the 90s. Both companies were doing their best to one-up each other, which lead to some rather mean-spirited advertising and bad blood. Hopefully both the documentary and limited series will capture some of the intensity of those years.
