Yacht Club took a lot of ideas from their "Dumb Ideas doc" to implement in Shovel Knight's King of Cards expansion
Dumb ideas are the best ideas
Yacht Club is hard at work on Shovel Knight: King of Cards, the next expansion for Shovel Knight. While it doesn't have a release date yet, Yacht Club did open up about how the King of Cards expansion came together.
In an interview with NintendoEverything, Yacht Club revealed that they have an internal document called the “Dumb Ideas doc.” These are ideas the team considered for previous expansions, but were deemed a bit too wacky, so they were tossed into the doc. The King of Cards expansion apparently takes a lot of those 'Dumb Ideas' and implemented them, making for a very unique feel.
