Classic Pokemon anime moment causes young boy to tear up

The Pokemon franchise is no stranger to tear-jerking moments. They have been sprinkled throughout the series since day one, and many fans can recall moments that had them grabbing for the tissue box. It seems some of those moments still hold that magic today, as seen above.

The young boy in the video is watching Ep. 39 of the Pokemon anime. This particular episode sees Ash and Pikachu come across a group of wild Pikachu. Ash thinks it would be best for his Pikachu if he left him with the other wild Pikachu, making for a heart-wrenching moment when the two split.

I vividly remember this episode, and it still makes me sad to think about it! I'm opting to keep the memory, but stay away from watching the episode again!
