GN Version 5.0

Daemon X Machina comes out Sept. 13th, 2019, which isn't far off at all. It's been quite some time since hte game was first announced, and we even got a demo along the way. That demo came with a feedback questionnaire in order for the dev team to see what players wanted tweak most. In an interview with 4Gamer (translated by NintendoEverything), producer Kenichiro Tsukuda discusses the elements fans most wanted changed.

The main thing was the visibility. Since many were saying that it was difficult to spot enemies, we went back to that part and tuned it from the ground up. We thought it would be better if large object were highlighted with a marker and also that when the player is attacked a marker would appear on the screen indicating the direction the attack came from.

Some players said that the text size was too small. The truth was that it was originally bigger, but a mistake in the demo code meant that it became smaller. It will be returned to normal in the finished version. Another thing that was really surprising for me, was that a lot of people called for there to be some sort of motion or gyroscopic control ability. A lot of the team thought at the time that no-one would use them and it was okay to leave them out, but we were all surprised when we read the feedback.
