August 2019 has come to a close, and the analysis of how sales went in the UK just rolled out. Check out all the juicy details below.

Top 10 best-selling games for August 2019

1. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled (Activision Blizzard)
2. Super Mario Maker 2 (Nintendo)
3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo)
4. FIFA 19 (Electronic Arts)
5. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar Games)
6. Fire Emblem Three Houses (Nintendo)
7. Minecraft: Switch Edition (Nintendo)
8. Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar Games)
9. F1 2019 (Codemasters)
10. Super Smash Bros Ultimate (Nintendo)

As for Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled's split, the PlayStation 4 version accounted for 61% of all copies sold.

Moving on to publishers, Nintendo was the top-selling publisher of the month. Nintendo shifted more than double the units of the next highest, Warner Bros Interactive, and generated almost four times the revenue of Activision Blizzard, which was second in terms of sales value. Nintendo accounted for 22.6% of all boxed games sold, and 32.2% of all revenue generated.

In terms of unit sales, more PlayStation 4 games were sold than those of any other platform, with Switch a distant second. In terms of hardware, Switch beat out PS4 in terms of sales revenues.
