Grezzo shares a special message to celebrate the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

A big day for Grezzo

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is now available, and that's thanks to the hard work of both Nintendo and Grezzo. The team at Grezzo has put together a special message to celebrate the game's launch, which you can find below.

Today is the day The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening finally launches!

I have really, really looked forward to this day. My feelings swelled when the articles were published online and on magazines, commercials started to broadcast on TV, and the posters went up at the train stations. Before I was able to “master up”, I felt so much tension and fatigue, but all of that was blown away thanks to our successful launch. I’m also looking forward to how everyone feels while they play the game.

During the development of Link’s Awakening, the people who were emotionally attached to the original game, people who played the series but are playing Link’s Awakening for the first time, and the people who have never played a Legend of Zelda game and are playing Link’s Awakening for the first time all had a part to play in the development of this game. We have successfully brought the good aspects and nostalgia of the original game to the Link’s Awakening remake while making it easier to play, giving it a fresh breath of air. I feel both the old and new aspects are co-existing very well. It would be interesting to see parents and children playing this game together.

I present a toast to everyone!

Last but not least, I would like to thank the folks at Nintendo for their huge assistance. No words can express my gratitude. I will present my gratitude again another time. Thank you from my heart.

I had forgotten Grezzo had a major hand in making this game. I felt kind of bad when Ever Oasis bombed, it being Grezzo's first original IP.

Yup! I suppose Ever Oasis was even a pretty good game? I’d like to see it get a second life on the Switch.

I picked it up during Target's 3DS clearance. (It was the only game on my list I was able to find--all the others had sold out.) It's a pretty neat mix of city-building and RPG, but it CAN be overwhelming if you're not ready for it.

Ever Oasis is amazing!! I got it day one and poured 50 hours into it. I hope they can make another original game on the Switch Smile
