RUMOR - Pokemon GO players using specific Xiaomi phones are getting banned from playing

We don't have comment from Niantic on this matter, but we do have some evidence coming from dataminers to explain the situation. Apparently some people trying to play Pokemon GO on select Xiaomi phones are receiving strikes on their accounts, as well as bans. For whatever reason, playing on these phones is tripping some indicator that makes it look like users are trying to play using unauthorized third party software. Hopefully Niantic can fix this issue and get the game working again for these users.
