GN Version 5.0

Riot Games announced that League of Legends: Wild Rift is in the works for mobile and console. This is basically the original League of Legends, but rebuilt for platforms other than PC. Wondering if the game will come to Switch? We don't know that for sure, but some job listings on Riot Games' website certainly makes it seem plausible.

Riot Games' website has a couple of listings up for senior software engineers, both of which apply to League of Legends: Wild Rift. The listings make mention of the following.

- Experience shipping cross platform console games (XBox, PS, Switch)

- Experience and understanding with two or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Windows OS (desktop), iOS or Android OS (mobile), XB1, PS4, Nintendo Switch (console).

There's also a Quality Assurance Lead position they're looking to fill, which has the following requirements.

- Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Windows OS. (desktop), iOS or Android OS (mobile), XB1, PS4, Nintendo Switch (console)

Even if Riot Games isn't working on League of Legends: Wild Rift for Switch, it's very clear they have something in the works for the platform. We'll have to keep a close on any any future job updates for more details, or wait to hear from Riot themselves.
