The showrunner for Netflix's Witcher series says the show will be 'very brutal'

The world of the Witcher is a very violent and dark place, and you can bet that the Netflix series is going to try and capture that. In an interview with Corriere, showrunner Lauren Hissrich said that The Witcher isn't going to be something you want your kids to watch.

"Very brutal...we are not shy about the adult themes present in the original material. The novels contemplate sexism, racism, and war with a lot of politics. Let's say five-year-olds shouldn't watch it."
