Back in the day of the DS, Brain Age was a mega-hit, reaching all kinds of consumers and creating a whole new genre within the industry. Now here we are 15+ years later, and it seems the series just can't make a dent anymore.

Over in Japan, Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training for Switch launched on Dec. 27th, 2019. According to numbers from Dengeki, the title managed to move 35k units within its first 3 days on the market. That would account for roughly 20% of the total initial shipment.

Not a great start by any means, especially compared to the 3.65 million units in total sales for the original Brain Age in Japan, alongside a total 4.94 million units for the sequel. It seems this newest installment doesn't have any chance of hitting those numbers, or anywhere near them.
