Skellboy rattles out heroically today onto Switch, Version 1.0.1 coming soon

Courtesy of Fabraz and Umaiki Games, Skellboy launches today on the Nintendo Switch! Take on a endless horde of squarely undead horrors with an array of items that's as much autopsy as it is arsenal, as you swap around Skippy's body parts and weapons to fit any situation that comes their way. It's all in aid of defeating the dastardly Squaruman and thwarting his conquest of the Cubold Kingdom, a land exactly as pixelated as all these shape puns would suggest.

Skellboy is available now on the Nintendo Switch for $20.00 USD. There's also some sweet merch available from The Yetee and the soundtrack will be available on vinyl courtesy of Black Screen Records. Skellboy will also be coming to Steam sometime later this year.

For those who have already picked up the game, if you encounter any bugs or performance hiccups, please feel free to direct your reports to our public bug tracker. The team is aiming to release a patch shortly after release.

Performance/Improvements

[0007] Increased performance in the starting area, Barracks, Forrest, Farm and cliff!
Improved overall useage of lances, they get less stuck in random environment

The crown will now respawn in the Ballroom after the fight when not already equiped
Added a lot of hint dialoge for missing items to We Tako in the Safehause
added a small storeroom to the foursquire room
Added the function to discard and later pick up hats again at the hatstand in the Grave. Also added a hatstand to the Safehouse
More sound effects in general
Special jump sound when playing as a head!
Arrows will now deflect from defeated enemies
Ghost shoes now make you invulnerable to zombie vomit
The Knight helmet will now protect against crows
Added a visual effect when damage is blocked with the Knight Helmet
Sound effect when head effects are off cooldown again
Shoot animation for the plant head effect
Collected money with the Midas set is now saved over play sessions
Added special sound effect when a set with an effect is completed

Fixes

[0014] Fixed a bug where it was possible to reach the end of the sewers just as a head
[0009] Fixed error with the teleporter UI when pressing the HOME button while active
[0003] First boss doesn't get insta-killed anymore by using the shroom shoes
[0004] Equiped hat/hair is not removed anymore when falling down again into thec ellar
[0001] Fixed collision on the pipe in the sewers to get back the torso. It was really hard to get out with the Hellknight armor equied.
[0002] Fixed an out of bounds error in the sewers
[0011] Fixed player getting stuck at swinging axes
Fixed climbing specific walls when Skellboy is only a head
Fixed a hardlock when using the Shroom head before getting hit by a medusa
Fixed wrong text in one of the books in the Library
chandeliers in the Dinning Hall do now properly fall down when Hellknights hit something causing an earthquake
Fixed wrong Dialog for Yarnina in the castle when giving her an item
Hat objects like the crown will now sit better on the bottle head
Fixed collision on the hole in the Saferoom because it was possible to go out of bounds here
Fixed the arrows of the orcs in the big Boss fight. Thex now destroy bombs and hurt Skippy as they should
Bats will not drop a shadow on themselfes anymore
Some path finding issues with all enemies
Using the bottle head in combination with the pumpkin caused visual errors
Added a small damage cooldown when hit by something and damage is reduced to 0 (For example, by Hellknight armor). Now damage trigger will not try to cause damage and/or status effects anymore every frame.
Knight Helmet and Hellmet Head effects are now properly deactivated after death
Lances an Arrows do not distort anymore when hitting specific objects.
Fixed a bug where orcs forgot that they are holdings bombs
Red sapplings attached to Skippy now do move up and down when the Ghost shoes are equiped
Fixed a bug which caused the scrolling credits to move when not in the credits screen
Some UI elements were displayed in front of the menu
Increased some visual quality of some areas
Weapons are now easier to collect in the Grave
more minor bugs
position of the HP bar is sometimes off
Moved some objects in specific areas to prevent getting stuck
