The Long Dark devs still hoping to bring the game to Switch
So much time spent in the dark
The devs behind The Long Dark have been very open about their troubles with porting the game to Switch. They've been working on the port for a long time, but are still hitting performance issues that they deem unacceptable. The last we heard about these issues was all the way back in March of 2019, but thanks to a recent forum post, we know the team is still toiling away on the port.
While the team didn't share specifics on how the porting process is going, they did confirm that work continues. Check out the dev team statement below, which comes from Jan. 13th, 2020.
"We are continuing to work on bringing The Long Dark to the Nintendo Switch. We don't have anything to announce beyond that at this point."
