SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog 2 releasing in Japan this week

As reported by Game Watch, SEGA will be releasing SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in Japan this coming Thursday. The Nintendo eShop game will set players back 999 yen.

This version of Sonic 2 features elements also found in SEGA's 3D version on the Nintendo 3DS. You will be able to use the lock-on elements with Knuckles, and use the Super mode on the fly. There are also challenges modes, a special Ring Keep mode for beginners and a toggle for the level select code. 

SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has HD Rumble functionality, just in case you are playing with the Joy-Con or Pro Controller. You will be able to feel the jumps or the boxes breaking!
