Musician St. Vincent says she's put 300 hours into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

ONE OF US

St. Vincent is known for her music, but she's branching by appearing in a a new film called The Nowhere Inn. During one of the scenes St. Vincent had to play a video game, and it just so turned out that she was given a Switch as a prop. That right there got her sucked into the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can check out what she had to say at the 6:08 mark above, or just read the blurb below.

"Fun fact...I needed a gaming console for that scene. One of our producers had the Switch and had Zelda, the new Zelda in it. That was my favorite game growing up, but I hadn't really gamed since then. I was doing it just for the movie, but then...I was like, 'no hold on guys, wait...I'm about to get this tree branch.' Now I'm obsessed with that game in particular. I've probably put 300 hours into it."

Man. As if I couldn’t love her more.

Heard of her for the first time now via this article. Damn gorgeous a woman. What kind of music does she play/make?

She’s pretty much changed her sound as many times as she’s changed her look, from indie rock stuff in her first few albums to straight electro/pop on her last one and even an album with David Byrne from Talking Heads. Hell of a guitarist too. Definitely worth a listen!

I'll give her go then. Ehay an odd place to find bew music Smile

She kind of reminds me of Nintendo Karen.
I guess it was destiny for her to find the Switch and fall in love with it.

I feel even older than usual hearing she calls BotW a game she played "growing up". For me, NES and SNES stuff are games people "grew up with".

Man, I'm old. *yells at cloud*

Edit after looking up Wikipedia: Okay, i understood the part about Zelda wrong, but -- she is THIRTYSEVEN?! From the pic I would have estimated 17 or 18 ... Wow.

She is 37. The original interview makes it clear that she grew up with the original Legend of Zelda on the NES.
Edit: Your edit happened while I made this comment, lol!
