A huge important piece of Nintendo and Sony history has just been auctioned off for an insane amount. Bidding on the SNES Playstation prototype, the only in existence as far as we know, as been going strong all month long. Collectors and historians have been throwing all sorts of cash at the one-of-a-kind piece, and the total kept climbing at a ridiculous pace. That war is now over though, and the final auction price sits at $380k.

Just to be clear, $300,000 was the final winning bid. The amount paid when all is said and done will be around $380,000, due to an additional "buyer's premium" fee attached to the auction.

Thanks to Dondom95 for the heads up!
