Microsoft's Phil Spencer shares a story of a gamer playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons via the Xbox Adaptive Controller

Pretty damn inspiring

The Xbox Adaptive Controller is a pretty fantastic device. It lets those with special needs enjoy video games by giving them all sorts of unique input methods. The controller works across all platforms, and one player is using it to enjoy some time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Microsoft's Phil Spencer shared the story of Becky, a young player who's currently spending some time getting her Animal Crossing: New Horizons' island together. She's using the Xbox Adaptive Controller to control the action, and it seems like she's having a great time doing it. It's really awesome to see players of any abilities able to enjoy the content they like, and Microsoft certainly deserves a round of applause for their dedication to helping those players.

Come on guys form a partnership, remember the good days of Wii60. MS needs a mobile presence and Nintendo needs a stable online. There's plenty of games you both could benefit from. Think of Banjo, think of Perfect Dark, think of the children.

It would be awesome to have Perfect Dark and the Banjo games on the Switch. Even ports of other old Rare titles.

Diddy Kong Racing, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Jet Force Gemini...there's so much each company could do for each other.
