There's not much in the way of traditional sports going on right now, and a lot of networks are turning towards eSports to fill the void. 2K swooped in on the chance to provide some content, putting together the NBA 2K20 Players Only tournament. This tournament features real-life NBA players going head-to-head in the game, and the first round just aired a couple days ago.

The problem is that the tournament is pre-taped, so there are people who know the final results already. Apparently those people have been leaking details, as word has got out to select few about who comes out victorious in some brackets. This ended up causing a big sway in online betting. Again, as traditional sports are on break right now, those who would bet on those games are now betting on the virtual tournaments instead.

To learn more about how the leak caused quite a stir for betting agencies, check out the full press release below.

Sometimes they say, "Vegas knows something," yet this go round, the bookies were left in the dark.

The NBA 2K Players Only Tournament over the weekend caused a headache for sportsbooks because it was pre-taped, and information was ultimately leaked.

"We initially made Durant the favorite to win the tournament, but he was taking very little action over the course of the first 24 hours," Robert Cooper, Odds Manager at SportsBetting.ag, said. "When we posted the first-round matchup lines and the bets were completely one-sided toward Jones Jr., it became obvious that someone knew the outcome of the game."

SportsBetting.ag reports that in total it lost a sum in the low five figures on the tournament's opening round. Regardless, the online book has posted updated odds ahead of the quarterfinals starting Tuesday night. It remains to be seen whether or not head-to-head spreads will be offered again.

Patrick Beverley, who started as a longshot with 20-1 or +2000 odds last week, is now the favorite. Devin Booker is second while Derrick Jones Jr., also an opening longshot, is third on the board.

Here are the current odds that are likely to fluctuate again: https://www.sportsbetting.ag/sportsbook/futures-and-props/nba2k-players-only-futures
