GN Version 5.0

It's obvious that Square-Enix has put at on of work into Trials of Mana. This Super Famicom to Switch revamp is looking fantastic in every way, and all areas of the game have received a lot of TLC. That includes boss battles, which producers Masaru Oyamada, Shinichi Tatsuke, and co-producer Naofumi Takuma talked about in an interview with Famitsu.

Shinichi Tatsuke: “The on-site planners thought about the gimmicks for the bosses, and Takuma (Co-producer Naofumi Takuma) took comprehensive direction for it. Thanks to the hard work of the planners the game has a new kind of appeal with the manny boss patterns.

Masaru Oyamada: “Even the bosses that stayed in fixed positions in the original game are moving about in the battle areas for the full remake version. It was a lot of work making sure we didn’t ruin their image. The form of the Benevodons follow the original version, but their characteristics have been further improved through action, so please check it out.”
