Nintendo News channel on Switch accidentally says Streets of Rage 4 is now available
Whoops!
A couple weeks ago, an eShop listing for Streets of Rage 4 popped up, and it included an April 23rd, 2020 release date. That date was disputed by those involved with the game the very same day that listing popped up, and then an April 30th, 2020 release was confirmed. Too bad the word didn't get back to Nintendo.
The Nintendo News channel on Switch has an article up right now saying Streets of Rage 4 is now available. This makes it seem like there really were plans to launch the game on April 23rd, 2020, but they got pushed back at the last minute. That's my own speculation of course, but Nintendo certainly seems to think the release this week was a lock!
