GN Version 5.0

Animal Crossing: New Leaf introduced a feature called the Dream Suite, which let players upload a version of their town online. This would allow other players to come and visit towns without having to open gates and hang around during the visit. Now there's some speculation this feature could be coming back for New Horizons.

Dataminer Ninji has been poking around the Version 1.2.0 update that Animal Crossing: New Horizons received recently, and he's found some interesting tidbits. The data discovered points to packaging player data for upload/download via something titled ‘ActorNetDreamLand.’ There are also a bunch of other code additions that seem to tie into this ActorNetDreamLand.

It's not a 100% confirmation that the feature is making a return, but it's a good step in that direction. We'll just have to hang tight and see what the Big N officially announces!
