GN Version 5.0

There has been a rumor floating around about Apex Legends on Switch for awhile now. Nothing has come to light yet, but we might finally get to see a definitive answer at EA's upcoming EA Play 2020 event.

While there's no leaked screenshots or assets to discuss, we do have some talk from VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb. Jeff has been spot-on with a lot of Nintendo-related leaks lately, and here's what he had to say about Apex Legends potentially coming to Switch.

During a recent conference call with investors, EA noted that it was looking more seriously at supporting the Switch. That could take many forms. But at the very least, it should mean Apex Legends making the leap to the Nintendo hybrid home console/handheld. I would like to see EA shadow-drop some older games on the Switch, but who knows how much work that entails. A game like Apex Legends could make money for years, though.

Nothing concrete, but we won't have to wait long to see if Grubb is right. The EA Play 2020 conference airs June 18th, 2020 at 7 PM ET.
