Square-Enix Stay Home and Play campaign raises over $2.4 million for Coronavirus relief

SQUARE ENIX® announced today that the company’s Stay Home & Play campaign has raised more than $2.4 million for charities working to address a variety of needs from food insecurity to homelessness. Among the company’s fundraising efforts were special “Stay Home & Play” bundles, curated collections of the company’s popular games which were sold with 100 percent of Square Enix’s proceeds going to charity. The community response was overwhelmingly positive and will benefit hundreds of thousands of people in North America and Europe.

“We are ever thankful for the enthusiastic support of our gaming community for Stay Home & Play,” said Phil Rogers, CEO, Square Enix Europe and the Americas. “In a time when safety mandated that we all maintain social distance, this campaign was a way for millions of gamers to come together and raise much-needed funds to support those in need. As a multinational organization, we’re proud to facilitate the generosity of our players and make a positive impact around the world during these challenging times.”
