NetherRealm has announced that Mortal Kombat 11 will no longer be a part of EVO Online this year, following allegations of abuse against tournament president and co-founder, Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar. NetherRealm's statement on the matter reads as follows.

“We stand in solidarity with those who have spoken out against abuse. We will be pulling MK11 from EVO Online.”

EVO organizers recently placed Cuellar on administrative leave during a third-party investigation of abuse allegations. As it stands now, this year's EVO has just three games left in its lineup.
