Waifu Uncovered was released on Steam from developer One-Hand-Free-Studios on April 10th, 2020, but Japanese publisher eastasiasoft will be bringing the "sexy and naughty" title over to Nintendo Switch on July 16th. An unlockable mode allows for one-finger gameplay (for reasons unneeded to be specified), and a "censorship unlock system" will be offered. 8 different female characters are wearing clothing infected by a deadly virus, so you must save them by blasting it all away. "Destroy the clothes, save the waifus!" Preloads are now available on the Japanese eShop with a 20% discount.

Eight beautiful maidens are under threat of alien attack. Their lives and the fate of the world now rest in your hands. In this simple yet rewarding shoot’em up, take command of multiple ship types, each balanced for a different play style, and blast away clothing that’s been deeply infected by a deadly virus. Evade and destroy enemies as they feverishly work against you, team up in multiplayer or bravely battle alone, save the girl of your dreams and perhaps even unlock a convenient one-finger mode.

• Meet 8 female characters presented in high-quality hand-drawn style.
• Undress your targets to save them from lethal infection!
• Select different ships focused on speed, power or add-ons.
• Take down enemies and bosses unique to each stage.
• Play solo or team up with a friend for cooperative action.
• Unlock more revealing content as you progress!

The use of the word "mature" to describe this game is hilarious!

Lol yeah. I don’t think I have seen them use the word “mature” to describe any of the violent games. By their use of mature to describe this game, they should use that same word to describe every mature game, like Crysis for example. 😂

I'm not sure where youre from but in US Mature rating is the adult rating for video games.

I know, but it's still funny.

That’s not true. We have “adults only” rating, but almost everyone avoids that rating for some reason.

"Some reason" being that stores refuse to stock AO games.

I know that. I was wondering “why” stores refuse to stock AO games. It’s not like current “mature” games aren’t violent enough.

The short answer is that it's just appeasement.

However, it makes you scratch your head when you see the content in some of the mature rated games. For example games like RDR2, GTAV, or some of the more violent games. If these games can get mature rating then what qualifies as an AO game? At this point I think AO is only for games that have explicit sex scenes, not for violence.
