.hack/G.U. Last Recode came to the PS4 and PC back in 2017, and was quite well received by fans of the franchise. Developer CyberConnect 2 would love to give the game another chance at success on the Switch, but it seems that publisher Bandai Namco isn't having it.

During a fan Q&A, CyberConnect 2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama was asked if there were a chance for .hack/G.U. Last Recode to come to Switch. Matsuyama called the idea “appealing,” and said the team would “love to do that.” Unfortunately, Bandai Namco is the stumbling block.

Frankly speaking, [CyberConnect 2]’s love to do that! We proposed the idea to Bandai Namco Entertainment several times. But their response was that it’s hard to predict the cost of porting and the sale prospects. For this reason, we were told that they were not able to make it happen and, as a result, we haven’t been able to.
