Square-Enix has run a Romancing SaGa x Saga Prefecture collab in the past, which turned out to be quite a success. Now the two are teaming up once again for another special promotion.

Square-Enix donated seven special manhole covers with pixel art designs of Romancing SaGa characters to Saga Prefecture, much like we've seen the Pokemon Co. do in various areas of Japan. SaGa series producer Masanori Ichikawa appeared at the opening ceremony along with the current mayor of Saga Prefecture, Toshiyuki Hideshima.

Along with that, Square-Enix also worked up a set of “Arita-yaki” porcelain plates that feature the same artwork. These plates will be available for customers to purchase at a later date.
