I pre-ordered this game and am enjoying it thus far. It has monetisation similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey in that there is a real-money store as well as daily quests for a currency similar to AC:Odyssey's Orichalcum that can be spent on special gear. Unliike AC:Odyssey, though, the purchases seem to be cosmetic-only, with the possible exception of mounts. Figured I'd put this here since the reviews I've seen online haven't talked about monetisation at all.

Does the game feel charming? SInce most of the marketing has a hard time setting my expectations I should have.

Especially since I'm playing Genshin Impact which also goes for this type of open world.

I think it's the best trailer so far.

It just has felt like the marketing team are ashamed of the game having jokes. I know people roll eyes at the MCU comedy, but I don't think every game can only be epic. Especially this year which could have more laughs.

I love the MCU but yeah even as a megafan sometimes the jokes do go overboard or are in unneeded spots. GOTG2, Ant-Man & The Wasp, and Thor: Ragnarok come to mind. Darcy also comes to mind and I dislike her character very interested in how she fits into WandaVision.

Anyway Immortals Fenyx Rising have it on my Switch have yet to have time to play it. Hopefully I can try it out soon. Gameplay wise the game looks great, graphically on Switch though...hoo-boy but it is to be expected I guess.

It's having a balance, since I do think that always being serious can be pretty dull, especially in the case of Ubisoft that don't have political stands, yet like to allude to political and social conflicts to be "serious." Comedy in game is especially hard since a lot more developers take their passions seriously rather than playfully and comedy can be very subjective (or intendly offensive nowadays).

In regards to the game. As times passes it becomes more and more a handheld firstly and a console experience secondly in terms of performance. Barely making it run good enough to hopefully be playable.

If Nintendo wants it to last several more years I think they'll need to at least make a hop to a more powerful version. Though I'll assume they still demand devs to make it run on the first version. We'll have to see how soon that happens.
