South Korean retailer shares impressive Switch sales stats

We know the Switch is killing it in pretty much every region, but it's always fun to get some more specifics. Today we have some details on sales in South Korea, courtesy of distributor Daewon. Check out the info breakdown below. Please note that this is sales info for just one distributor in the region, so it doesn't reveal full sales for Switch in South Korea.

- 90,964 units sold during Q2 2020 (+106.4% compared to last year during the same period)
- game sales nearly tripled, with 325,545 units sold (+189.7% Year on Year)
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons is so popular that a major e-commerce operator held an event to sell 10 bundles for the game, and they received over 560k calls about the deal in an hour's time
- during the first half of the year, Switch sold 173,812 units (+61.5% Year on Year)
- during the first half of the year, 613,135 games were sold (+107.7% Year on Year).
- since launch, Switch sales stand at 596,682 units for the console, and 1,769,937 games
