Nintendo does it again

By this point, most Nintendo fans know that the Big N. had a stellar 2020 around the world. We've seen sales reports from all over showing just how big Nintendo's hardware and software were, and that trend continues with numbers from Australia today. Nintendo led the pack in software and hardware, and you can get full details below.

- the best-selling game in Australia was Animal Crossing: New Horizons, even without digital sales included
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 88% more copies in 2020 (boxed only) than it did in 2019
- top publisher of the year (digital and physical) was Nintendo (16% market share)
- Switch sales surged 88% in 2020 over the year before
- Joy-Con sales were up 110% year on year
